What is Good Friday?

The religion of Christianity began roughly around two thousand years ago, and its messiah is Jesus Christ who is said to be the son of God. Jesus chose to be born in the physical realm to abolish the sins of humankind and steer them on the right path.

He was crucified for his blasphemy and hung on the cross along with two others. Later he resurrected from the dead and became a symbol that the Christiansgreatly revere.

Two millenniums back on this day a Jewish preacher, Jesus of Nazareth was crucified on the cross for calling himself the son and messenger of God. Christians believed him to be their prophesized messiah and his words were compiled to form the Holy Scriptures. Powerful figures during those times saw him as a threat while people saw him as their savior. He was mocked, thrashed and paraded around the city on orders of the religious and political figures of that time. It was the betrayal of his disciple Judas that had him publically crucified. This dark day is called as Good Friday or Black Friday.
